On the banks of the river Sarthe, a stones throw from the world heritage site of the Loire Valley and nestling in unspoiled, rolling French countryside, lies the beautiful and world-renowned village of Malicorne-sur-Sarthe.
Conveniently situated 20 minutes from Le Mans, capital of the Sarthe department and home to the famous 24-hour motor circuit, it's also just a 50 minute drive to the historic cities of Tours, Angers and the chateau region of Saumur with its ancient vineyards and caves.
Why not take a walk into the village and have coffee or a wine (or two) in one of the many bars and restaurants that pave the streets of this thriving little commune? Take a boat out from the bridge after lunch and sail down the river for a spot of fishing or just to take in the beautiful scenery.
If boating isn't your thing, why not visit the Pottery which put Malicorne on the map! The Pottery offers guided tours between April and September, or have a go at one of their many workshops.
If it's nightlife you're after, the local nightclub JMI on Friday and Saturday is a must; don't expect Fat Boy Slim or David Guetta to grace the decks but you can soon find yourself dancing the night away to the latest English and French hits in the friendly and welcoming atmosphere!
Many of our guests choose to stay within the village, but if you wish to go further afield, there is so much to explore -
shops, towns, cities, lakes, rivers, vineyards, chateaux, lakeside
beaches, parks, zoo, museums and markets - within arms reach of this comfortable B&B.
